The main advantage of the tandem Copilot 3 compared to the other Copilot is the extra stability. This makes this version particularly suitable for co-drivers who are very agile while cycling or have a reduced sense of balance.
Thanks to the third wheel, both riders can remain seated even when the tricycle is stationary. Getting on and off the bike is also easy, as the tandem is very stable. For extra space to get on and off, the front part can be folded down. On this tandem, only the attendant can steer, but the co-driver has a handlebar for grip. In addition, the companion determines via the switchable freewheel whether the co-driver can pedal along. With the normal freewheel, the co-driver can choose whether or not to pedal along. A tandem to enjoy cycling together without worrying about safety.
The light cycling tandem is easily maneuverable and can be equipped with an auxiliary motor (PAS-vario) available. Using this drive makes pedaling even lighter and therefore less tiring. You have a long range, if you choose a Copilot 3 with electric, thanks to the large battery capacity.
The noiseless pedal assistance comes standard with a drive assist and five modes of support. This makes it even easier to get going. The assistance motor comes standard with a clear display.
Do you wish to use it for several people or has the person grown? The frame at the front can be removed and replaced by a smaller or larger part, making it flexibly deployable. Thus, the tricycle tandem is also ideal as a grow along bike. Of course, the removable frame is also handy when you want to store the bike more compactly.

The Copilot 3 is equipped with hydraulic brakes at the front, which require little force to brake. The Schwalbe Marathon Plus anti-puncture tires provide extra grip on the road and longer life. The Copilot tandem is available in two sizes. The Copilot 3/24 is a tandem for an adult and child ages 4 and up. The Copilot 3/26 is mostly used for two adults. In addition, the frame and wheels of the Copilot 3/26 tandem are larger and the design is even more luxurious.
